The Causes of Peripheral Coronal Loop Contraction and Disappearance Revealed in a Magnetohydrodynamic Simulation of Solar Eruption

The phenomenon of peripheral coronal loop contraction during solar flares and eruptions, recently discovered in observations, gradually intrigues physicists. However, its underlying physical mechanism is still uncertain. One Hudson (2000)'s implosion conjecture which attributes it to magnetic pressure reduction the energy liberation core, while other researchers proposed alternative explanations. In previous observational studies we also note disappearance shrinking loops late phase, there a lack investigation interpretation. this paper, exploit full MHD simulation eruption study causes two phenomena. It found that motion periphery well correlated with accumulation dissipation shrinkage caused by more significant gradient force than tension force, consistent conjecture. contracting phase act as inflow reconnect central erupting structures, destroys their identities naturally explains disappearance. We propose positive feedback between reconnection eruption.
